Fire-resistant and wood-protected exterior cladding products
Fire-retardant treated timber panels can be used in façades of apartment buildings, care facilities and other buildings that fall under fire class P1. The panels are manufactured from fire-retardant treated wood, sometimes also referred to as fire-protected wood, allowing timber to be used safely in projects with stricter fire safety requirements.
The fire protection is achieved with a fire-retardant coating that reacts to heat by forming an insulating foam layer on the surface of the wood, slowing down the spread of fire.
Fire-retardant treated panels enable the use of timber as a façade material even in demanding building projects where enhanced fire performance is required.
